In 1907 Frenchman Xavier Pauchard discovered that he could protect sheet metal from rusting by dipping it in molten zinc (galvanisation) and a few years later he set up his factory producing steel furniture. Tolix used their metal working skill to also produce exquisitely designed but practical cafe/dining tables to partner their chairs. This is their simple square design popular throughout France. The table is in one piece in exceptional original condition with a knee height clearance of 70cm. Rich original character the table has been cleaned and serviced in our own workshops.
