Vintage pair of Brass Urns. They are in excellent condition for their age. Inside where the metals are exposed you can see some minor oxidation where the different shades of greens and golds appear.
But over all this pair has not seen the harsh outside elements and have been safely displayed indoors as far as we know.
The etchings are finely detailed with intricate work that required a very highly skilled artisans hand. The eye catching etchings alongside the beautiful brown patina on this pair of urns are simply an outstanding combination of time and effort that cannot be reproduced easily. They work well on a fireplace mantle as well as being used for bookends in a study/home office setting. Alas, wherever you decide to display these fine specimens their presence will surely be noticed and appreciated.
There is no magnetism and they are very heavy weighing just under 2 Lbs. each.
