Handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960, this vintage tribal kilim is a Baluch rug from new curations in the Rug & Kilim collection.
On the Design:
Specifically believed to be coming from the Leghari clan of this nomadic people, this flatweave enjoys simple and subtle detail. Its design plays stripes and finely woven geometric patterns in brick red, navy blue and beige tones. Keen eyes will admire the sense of movement and repetition, as will connoisseurs appreciate its fine craftsmanship for a Kilim of this provenance.
Condition:
