A powerful and highly sculptural set of four French dining chairs executed in the brutalist manner associated with Charles Dudouyt. Dating from the 1960s, the chairs embody a bold, artisanal approach to form, material, and construction.

Each chair is built on a robust frame with four turned solid oak legs of imposing 7 cm diameter, giving the set a strong architectural presence. The thick cognac camel leather seats are secured to the frames with blackened, handmade iron nails, reinforcing the chairs’ raw and honest character.

A distinctive feature of this set is the use of hand-carved and polished branch stretchers.
