The company that has been founded by Wilhelm Lameyer Senior (1808-1882) was founded by Wilhelm Lameyer Senior (1808-1882) since 1872. After his apprenticeship in Bremen, Stuttgart, Paris and Geneva, he had acquired an excellent reputation, became Hofgoldschmied and made the Hanoverian crown sign in 1843. In 1872 his son Carl Lameyer (1847-1923) entered the business, which in turn continued his son Wilhelm Lameyer Junior (1889-1928) since 1918. The business was destroyed on July 26, 1943 during air strikes on Hanover, and the company name was deleted in 1956.
