Although the wiring is at least 50 years old, it is likely not original because it has a molded 2 prong thermoplastic plug. This sort of plug would not have been common when the lamp was manufactured. One original pull chain socket was replaced by one with a twist knob. I have tested the lamp and it works great. The metal work is all intact, although some of the bronze finish has worn or is scratched. Very little of the original gilding on the shade remains. Two of the slag glass panels are cracked.
