Six legs support this huge beautifully made sideboard, with hand chiseled dovetail joints. The curved drawers are carved out of solid mahogany, probably 8 inch thick. Two original keys which open the sideboard drawers and cupboards with ease. The handles are carved from solid hardwood and in great condition.
The slim brass hinges which are reminiscent of the mid Victorian era allow the solid carved doors to open smoothly. The piece sits on solid brass castors which move the piece around effortlessly. The piece is already tall at 39” and with the backboard it adds an additional 4” height to the sideboard.
