Wegner extension dining table in teak, 1960. An attractive and ingeniously designed extension table designed by Wegner for Andreas Tuck, circa 1960.

Featuring solid wood, tapered extension leaf slides, this table's unique design allows the leaves to rest neatly underneath the main top when not in use, and then slide out effortlessly with a pull on felted rails, thereby lowering the main top as they move out so the extended surface becomes flush. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, and this purely wooden & mechanical solution is a joy to behold and use.

Round tapered legs, strong joinery, lovely patina, and the capacity to seat six while closed, and up to ten comfortably with both leaves opened. This piece is signed with the cabinetmaker's mark and stamped with the Danish export control mark.

Pictured here with a set of six original Hans J. Wegner "W2" chairs, the table was acquired as a set with the chairs from the original owner--and can be sold as a dining set, or separately based on client's needs.
