Hand knotted in wool, this 6x8 Baluch rug represents a new line of tribal carpets in the Modern Classics Collection by Rug & Kilim. Each piece represents the work of women weavers in Afghanistan, preserving the rich tradition of their centuries-old craft.
On the Design:
A rich chocolate brown field with black tones underscores florals and geometric patterns in indigo blue and saturated crimson red. The border and fringes are beige, and keen eyes will further admire teal accents in the field motifs—inspired by primitivist nomadic symbols.
