The company was started by Jim Thompson who had a storied history, including being a spy during the Second World War.
The success of the Thai silk trade has been attributed to Thompson, who not only made Thai silk a valued commodity worldwide, but in the process, he improved the lives of many Thais, especially women, who were living in poverty before the global introduction to Thai silk..
The company's success continued, and continues, even after the mysterious disappearance of its founder in 1967

The covers depict floral patterns of bearded irises and a calla lily, in beautiful pastels, shades of blues, purples and pinks.
Both have the design on both sides of the cushion covers, and both of them are signed.
These vintage cushion covers are in very good vintage condition, with no stains or tears.
They measure 15" x 15.5". They are zippered, and the zippers are both in perfect working order.
