Stunning serigraph on rice/parchment paper from 1961 by Mid Century Modern artist Louise Osada, this #5 of just 6. She's listed on Facebook in "Female Artists in History" and other venues. Her prices realized are often $1,000 or more. Louise Osada studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and won many awards in the Northern Illinois region. Her works were purchased by the then Firstcard and featured at Burpee Museum in Rockford, IL.
Her work was held in high regard and she was considered an excellent abstract artist, but she gave up art in 1970 to concentrate on child rearing. A flood in the 1980's destroyed most of her works, which she had stored in her basement. Any Louise Osada is rare!
