These … Read more Stately set of six rattan salon armchairs or dining chairs made in the coastal organic modern style by McGuire. These rare chairs were designed by Orlando Diaz-Azcuy and feature an imposing square pole rattan frame contrasted by a circular padded seat back. Bespoke set of chairs ordered with a dramatic electric blue velvet upholstery. The flat arms are 24.5 inches and conjoin to a generous seat with a reeded style apron. The exposed joints are lashed together with leather rawhide laces. The pole rattan legs are conjoined by an x-form stretcher. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship in very good condition. From an estate in San Francisco, CA. Each chair has a makers plaque on bottom.
