A remarkable early 20th century Chinese Art Deco rug with a brilliant chartreuse green field surrounded by a wide gold and lavender stylized cloud motif border. Two large peacocks live in one corner, and rest on a scholar's rock amidst auspicious peonies, prunus, and bamboo in a pond. A crescent moon and clouds live in the opposite corner, with a flowering prunus branch below.
