This flatweave is believed to originate from the Azilal tribe. This piece enjoys a rare play of pile and flatweave together, seldom seen in such good condition from tribal rugs curated today. This unique approach to textural appeal further creates a high-and-low sensibility that plays beautifully with the depth and graphic, vibrant nature of this nomadic culture’s flatweave rug style.
