Thrown on the potters wheel they are left to dry overnight and trimmed, smoothed and fitted together the next day. It's during this process that the fit is adjusted and the correct diameter holes are drilled for the light socket and integrated switch. As they slowly dry in the studio they are shuffled around so they can dry evenly. After a couple of weeks they are loaded into the kiln and fired to 2160 degrees fahrenheit. The lamps are then removed and bottoms sanded smoothed.
