Hand-knotted in wool circa 1950, this 6x10 vintage Persian Kilim is a tribal rug of Baluch provenance.
On the Design:
This flatweave enjoys stripes and sharp, finely woven geometric patterns in a rich palette of deep brown with red, teal and beige accents. Keen eyes will further admire the natural abrash, finely woven accents, and many other subtle beauties in its craft. It’s an exemplary Baluch rug among traditional Kilims of this tribe—full of rustic old-world charm in a good versatile size.
Condition:
This vintage Persian Baluch Kilim further enjoys good condition for its age and origin. Keen eyes will note that this Kilim is woven from two pieces into one, as many nomadic pieces were. It’s ready for the floor.
