Antonio Suárez is a well-known Asturian painter with a long and recognized career. He was one of the founders of the group "El Paso" in 1975, a group that renewed the Spanish art scene and which also included, among others, Antonio Saura and Rafael Canogar. His work is part, among others, of the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts of Asturias, the Reina Sofia Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona, the University of Oviedo, the Museum of Abstract Art of Cuenca and several art galleries in Seville, San Francisco, Bilbao, Leverkusen and Austin (USA).

An intuitive painter, always reluctant to execute any kind of preparatory study or sketch for his paintings. Antonio Suárez has made the play with matter and color the true center of his work, beyond the figurative anecdotes that, on occasion, may appear in his production.
