Buffet Scriban of Port Nantes in mahogany, in two elements dating from the 1750s.
The scriban convenient part opens with a slaughter, dark in a single panel, with a tab cutting, molded half a round and a beam baguette. This flap is equipped with an authentic lock, with two combs, in operating condition with key and bronze entrance.
Open, it is based on two shoots giving it good stability.
The interior offers a tabernacle with molded boot door, functional lock and bronze entrance, all original.
On each side, advanced, there are three drawers with bronze buttons, as well as three niches. This interior has many hidden caches, in particular false tied columns or reserves with sliding panels.
This port furniture has three identical drawers on the facade, with rings handles, with locks with key and bowl entrance.
The amounts, in half-round to smash, end with feet bump on scrolls.
The crosspiece is finely cut and slightly molded.
The upper part is made up of two doors with worked frames. The symmetrical panels come from the same wooden ball. These openings are provided with an original lock with key and flame entrance. The reverse of these doors is molded and with bedbags, which, for information, made it possible to expose the dishes to the SU and in view of all.
The interior is lined with adjustable oak shelves since they placed on dug notches.
The whole is overseen with a cornice, in a gendarme hat, molded with scrolls.
The hanging crosspiece is slightly convex.
The sides, with a frame, are also molded.
The drawer interiors and the rear are oak.
Exceptional by its authenticity, its dimensional (namely its height of 2.35 m for this type of furniture) and its various functions, this Criban Buffet of Port Nantes did not suffer from the throes of time in the last two hundred years. It will also appeal by its rarity and its high quality of manufacture.
