"At the end of the work" he tells of a moment of the artistic production of a painter: when the work is finished, the tin of color is empty and the candle remains nothing but a mozzicone. A work that contains in itself the profound meaning of the repetition that arises from everyday life, an image seen and revised several times in the habit, almost need, to express itself on the canvas.
The painting of Romano Mussolini, then, can be recognized in the first blow: suggestive, with a rough and dynamic pictorial style that guarantees freshness and executive immediacy, from the brush stroke made of sudden flickers, effective in registering the light vibrations on objects, however pervaded by a Packed realism deriving from the artist's technical ability.
Romano Mussolini was born in Forlì in 1927 and disappeared in Rome in 2006. Essentially figurative painter who dedicated himself mainly to gender subjects such as clowns. His compositions show a simplicity of color lines. The passion for painting was already born in 1945 in Naples when, under the guidance of the corrura and Terraccini painters, it immediately obtains excellent results. Romano Mussolini, in addition to his pictorial production, was also famous as a jazz musician and composer. This piece has an attribution mark,
