The wood console is … Read more Renaissance-style gilt wood console with marble top and gilt wood framed mirror attached at the base. The wood console is raised by 4x tapered, fluted legs with richly carved leaves and decorative scrolled designs. The legs are connected by an impressive stretcher with a central urn and leaf reserve. The original marble top follows the contour of the console with an elegant scalloped shape and beveled edge. The exquisite marble features antique white, grey, light green, and dusty rose veining throughout. The original matching mirror is attached at the base and can be removed. The rear of the mirror is outlined in a metallic roping. Above the mirror are richly carved swaging floral garland and the most impressive pierced scrolled top crown with floral accents.

Mirror glass, marble top, and gilt finish are all original to the piece. There is some minor wear commensurate with age and general use, otherwise the piece is in excellent condition and has been beautifully preserved. No major visible flaws or imperfections.
