American furniture designer Richard Schultz was asked by Florence Knoll, after she moved to a seaside home in Florida, to come up with something that could withstand the salty climate. Schultz responded with the Aluminum Leisure Collection in 1966.
The frame is covered in plastic paint. The mesh and vinyl strips are in brown, one of the (RARE) original colors.
Wonderful design!
This piece is in very good condition with minimal wear and tear.
