Large Vintage Indian Cotton Dhurrie Rug in Buttery Yellow and Light Lavender. Keivan Woven Arts / rug ROD-4472, country of origin / type: India / Dhurrie, circa 1970
Measures: 11'8 x 17'6.
Woven during the mid-20th Century, this designer flat-woven Indian cotton dhurrie is adorned with east Turkestan/Khotan motifs and features an inventive low-contrast color palette. A Greek key border frames the entire background, while repeating geometric motifs are characterized by a tasteful combination of chic light colors, including various shades of buttery yellow, cream and light lavender.
