Mid 19th century Victorian era. American school. Oil on canvas. Apparently unsigned. The paintings themselves measure 29 3/4" x 24 1/2" and are displayed in antique gilt wood and gesso frames (likely the original frames) measuring 37 3/4" x 32 1/2".

Condition: There has been restoration work including relining and in-painting. Light paint loss around edges in some places where the paintings meet the frames. Both frames have light losses to the gesso. Still, these are wonderful examples of early American portraits. Please view all photos closely and feel free to ask any questions you may have prior to purchase.
