Large Vintage Decorative Indian Cotton Dhurrie, Collection of Thomas Britt. Keivan Woven Arts / rug ROD-4110, country of origin / type: India / Dhurrie, circa 1970
Measures: 13'7 x 22'6.
Woven during the mid-20th century, this designer cotton dhurrie is decorated with a stepped diamond pattern rendered with an inventive low-contrast color palette. This flat-woven Indian dhurrie features repeating geometric motifs in a tasteful combination of chic pastels, including various shades of beige, ivory, pale blue and pale coral. The Greek key border frames the small diamonds, simple yet transitional and modern.
