Freeman, Houston, Texas hand surgeon 1964 - 1991 and Houston Oilers' Doctor 1972-1976. Two identical bronzes were created and gifted to Dr. Freeman by Jack Burch after Dr. Freeman restored the use of his left hand allowing him to return to sculpture. Jack Burch was a prolific Houston sculptor in the 1970s-1980s. One of the busts has the original brass plate with Dr. Freeman's name. The other has had a modification; the addition of a porcelein plate "cabinet medical" that Dr. Freeman's daughter found in Paris, France. See less
