This antique Persian Malayer has a multi-tiered border and heavy field detail showcased within this piece are common for this era in the region. Stylized repeating nature motifs rendered in bold red and faded olive and yellow-green are stamped across the guards and borders. The field's design features floral motifs stylized within medallions and trellises rendered in red. olive, and subtle hints of blue, pink and white.
