I created this piece along with a companion , "Sullivan". It is three pieces of wood composite layered and painted with an 1/8 inch spacer between and larger piece and smaller piece on the front. I use acrylic paint, and I would describe the screen as satin.
This style seems to work well with crisp, straight edged furniture and decor.
