1950's czech extending rectangular dining table. Beautiful simple and classic mid century table sourced in the czech republic. The table is beautifully made with a high gloss zebra wood figured top and birch base. The table sits in its un extended size at 105 x 80cm, to extend the top to 105 x 160 cm, the top swivels ninety degrees and then the top opens up to double the size. Czech was a large producer of high quality mid century furniture following the surge of modernism originated by the bauhaus school. A good practical piece of elegant mid century furniture.
