A Belles Rives Table from The Lacquer Company

The Lacquer Company was created in 2008 by James Lowther. Before starting the firm, he worked as an event planner and would often travel to Asia in search of lacquer for colorful design accents. That’s where he began to learn about the lacquer process and the detail, patience, and attention that was required in creating these pieces. The company now manufactures in Saigon and products include custom lacquer furniture, tabletops, mirrors and lamps. High-profile design collaborators for The Lacquer Company include Rita Konig, Steven Gambrel, Veere Grenney, Jeffrey Bilhuber, Luke Edward Hall, Christopher Spitzmiller, Martin Brudnizki, and more.
