With her fearless approach to design, we’ve long been vying to get Lindsey’s take on everything from her favorite paint color to her go-to way to mix high and low. Favorite thing about designing with vintage pieces?
When designing, I think including vintage pieces gives a room its character!

What’s one type of item that you love scoring vintage?
Vintage bamboo and rattan. I love anything with a chinoiserie feel, and that can take a coat of fun, lacquer paint too!

Favorite pattern (and how you love to use it)?
I love to use a stripe—it’s classic and timeless. Lately, I have been hanging stripes or painting them horizontally. I think feels a little more modern and a little unexpected.

Favorite color combo?
I love red and pink together; I love Prussian blue and red; I love teal and chartreuse….This is hard, because there are so many great combinations! Anything a little unexpected, that’s what I like!

Favorite way to mix high and low?
Typically, we make new upholstery, so I love to add vintage side tables and or drinks tables. I think there should be some high and low in most rooms—it keeps it from looking too precious.

Favorite way to work a bit of vintage into a room?
Accessories! I love anything brass!!
