Coveted RAAK Design Pieces for Mid Century Fans
RAAK, the storied Dutch design company founded in the mid-1950s, is known for its grade A collaborations with the likes of lighting lines masters and architects like Bertrand Balas, Ger Vos, Jan Jasper Fayer, and others. Today, the brand is hailed for its thoughtful products that stand the test of time, thrilling collectors throughout the decades. Among the most coveted of the brand’s offerings are the RAAK table lamp, globe floor lamps, and RAAK glass chandelier lighting solutions. Words don't really do the design justice, though, as any RAAK lamp really needs to be experienced in order to be fully appreciated. Among our current and former favorites of RAAK globe lamps and others are evocative glass and brass Chartres wall sconces, designed by Willem van Oyen; super sleek tubular wall sconces designed by Maija Liisa Komulainen; yin yang aluminum wall sconces; and elegantly executed brushed steel and glass hanging pendant lamps.
