A giant 48” tall with the shade makes it super glamorous. We think it’s 1940 ish just because of the plug. The lamp turns on and off perfectly and uses a 3 way bulb if you like. There are some minor blemishes on the metal bases and we have not tried to restore them. The shade is in “better than fair” condition with only one bend we have not been able to get out. It is to the back so hardly noticeable. Overall this lamp is great as is. The shade is not metal, but a super heavy cardboard material. This lamp could easily be brought back to 100% perfect if you wanted to. Measurement is of the lamp with the shade. The base is 8” x 8”. less
