I'm an abstract realist artist, painting instructor and handmade shop + gallery owner based in Atlanta, GA. My studio is nestled in the terrace level of my mid-century modern house built in 1955.

Painting takes me to magical places, usually conjuring a story. I love to paint the wild nature around me and get lost in the process.

My paintings have abstract beginnings, sometimes with a loose charcoal drawing or translucent layers of acrylic or watercolor. I embrace playfulness and joy in my practice with the intention of creating a sense of wonder for my viewers.

I'm interested in the creatures of the forest where ethereal and magical experiences exist. My animal collections are comprised of studying their vulnerability and our energy connections to living together on this earth. No matter what the subject, I like to take on the narrative, sometimes conjuring a bit of nostalgia, and always sprinkled with a bit of magic.

Biography
Jen Singh received a BFA from Kendall College of Art & Design (KCAD), Grand Rapids, MI.

My journey as an artist began in freelance illustration, exhibit and graphic design and art direction. My work has been shown in Atlanta, Austin, Raleigh, NC, Encino, CA and Holland, MI.

In 2014, I partnered with another creative and opened a brick and mortar boutique and art gallery, Garage Door Studio. I currently lead painting workshops, curate the gallery and mentor emerging artists.
