West of Noble is a furniture design and woodworking studio based in Los Angeles. Our aesthetic is rooted in our practice; that being time spent fine tuning hand tools old and new, and executing time honored wood jointing techniques. Rooted in the studio furniture movement of the mid twentieth century and influenced by woodworker/designers such as George Nakashima and Paul McCobb, we seek to make pieces of heirloom quality that are truly hand crafted, yet decidedly modern. We make each piece out of a shop in downtown Los Angeles using sustainably harvested North American hardwoods and finished with natural oils and waxes.
