Suzanne Rheinstein & Associates is a high-end residential firm founded in 1988. The company began with the opening of Hollyhock, the renowned home furnishings shop known for its unique antiques, decorative accessories and the Hollyhock Home collection. After the shop was well established, Suzanne moved into design.

The firm aims for timeless elegance and comfort by assembling one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect that client. Our clients tend to live over committed lives, filled with work and philanthropy and family and gardening and sports. Whether we choose a style that is more colorful or less, more casual or less, more packed or less, the rooms we design end up with a sense of calm.

Her best-selling first book, At Home: A Style for Today with Things from the Past, (Rizzoli, 2010) shared six homes that showcase her trademark elegant, livable style, including her own homes in Los Angeles and New York City. In her latest book, Rooms for Living, (Rizzoli, 2015), Suzanne shares her design philosophies in chapters focusing on Entrance Halls, Living Rooms, Dining Rooms, Retreats, Powder Rooms, Bedrooms and Outdoor Rooms. The book offers a master class in how she achieves harmonious living spaces through thoughtful use of texture, color and proportion.

Suzanne has designed the Suzanne Rheinstein*Hollyhock fabric collection and rug collection for Lee Jofa. Antique textiles from her personal collection provide the perfect foundation for her fresh and understated interpretations of centuries-old designs.

Suzanne and her work have been featured in numerous regional and national lifestyle publications and blogs, Architectural Digest’s AD100 and Elle Décor’s A-List.
