My paintings are abstract in nature with a contemporary evolution of Modern Art. The Bauhaus and Modern Art Movements are the foundation of my style. Different cultures I have been exposed to throughout my life have brought me most of my inspiration: the Pacific Northwest, Los Angeles, and historic European countries and cities from when I was stationed in the military.
Fine lines and precise patterns in my work derive from my years in art school studying interior design. Conversely, my work is of a subjective nature; it consists of a play on abstract shapes created with oil paint, chiefly using palette knife. Lines appear in my work with an undertone of an illustrative nature, pointing to my passion for drawing in my formative years. Brush technique is used in realism style paintings with textured brush strokes, yet still with a modern composition.
What I aim to achieve in my work are modern, timeless, elegant art pieces that will be admired throughout the years. My goal is to uplift others and enhance the environment and people's lives with style and sophistication
