Hello my name is Kimberly and my Husband Jeremy and I run Red Tulip Designs.
I studied Interior Design for many years with the dream of designing people's homes but unfortunately that wasn't meant to be.
I was a paint specialist and my job was to pick the perfect colors for customers. People would tell me their inspiration or ideas and I would create their dream. I had one lady bring me the leaves on her tree to help her pick colors for the outside of her home. I moved on to be a Design Consultant where my talents were better used. People would ask me to design their homes and I would pick out flooring, window treatments, paint, and anything else they needed help with. I also consulted with house flippers in the area to help them upgrade the homes they bought to sell for the most profit.
Unfortunately the housing crash took me out of my dream for several years but I decided to get back out there because I missed creating and designing.
I try to think outside the box and find unique pieces. My wonderful Husband has a creative eye as well plus he is my go to carpenter. He figures out how fix almost anything and makes my ideas come to life. You should see the shiplap island he created for our kitchen. It is a masterpiece!
