The idea for La Maison came from my burning desire to bring home all of the beautiful things I would see while traveling the world in my twenties.

Handmade ceramic bowls, beautiful linens naturally dyed in indigo, or uniquely carved pieces of furniture that felt like they had fallen straight out a movie.

I, of course, could not afford to buy any of these things then, and if I did, I didn't really have a place to keep them as I was living a very nomadic lifestyle only suited to the most diligent of minimalists. Trust me when I say that you don't want to have to haul your whole life in three large suitcases while you're trying to get through a crowded train station. It's not fun.

I now have a place I call home that I am lucky enough to fill with all my treasures big and small. So when the world went into lockdown due to COVID-19, it was the perfect time to put together a way to share these beautiful things I've found in one place.
