Collector of Haeger Pottery. In 1871, Mr. David Haeger, a German Immigrant, started his Brickyard Factory in Dundee, IL.. In 1914, his son, Edmund Haeger produced the 1st piece of Art Pottery; a Classic Greek Vase. And for the following 102 years, the Company remained in the Haeger Family, and Haeger Potteries continued to create the most elaborate and beautiful pieces of artwork, lamps, stoneware, planters known around the world. Their works of art range from Classical to Sensual to Elegant to Functional to Whimsical. Each year they created more elaborate glazes, colors and textures unique only to Haeger Pottery. Sadly, in 2016, the Family decided to close down the Company and Factory; thereby making each piece of Haeger Pottery, today, So much more Rare and Valuable because they will Never be made again. Haeger was blessed with some of the most Talented Designers throughout the years. Finding some signed pieces out there is Truly a Gift!!
