  • "Alison M.: Antique and vintage photogravures and lithographs sometime come as books, sometimes as collections."

    Dec. 23, 2017, 10:40 a.m.

  • "Alison M.: ... list, I will be happy to do so."

    Dec. 23, 2017, 10:39 a.m.

  • "Alison M.: Correct. But if you like both images, you might like to look at other listings and find the identical one, because I have 2 collections of 2-sided photogravures from 1935. Sets of 6 photogravures are from 1928. Quality of printing is about the same - it's very good. Numbers on the plates are according to the list of photogravures as they were printed originally - as collections. I have a complete list with descriptions on each piece, and if you will be buying and would like me to include this..."

  • "Hello - Ok so I would actually receive 1 piece of paper printed both sides so they couldn't be shown together. They are not 2 separate prints/engravings. And are they pages from a book? Because of the page numbers at the bottom?"

    Dec. 23, 2017, 10:10 a.m.

  • "Alison M.: Also, Alison, you might like to do search for Karl Blossfeldt Photogravures at 1st dibs website to see prices. :-) These are the lowers, best prices ever for Blossfeldt photography. :-) I am glad you looked at my listings. Thank you! :-)"

  • "Alison M.: Hello Alison! Thank you for your questions. Yes, engravings/gravures and lithographs are different ways of printing. Karl Blossfeldt was a photographer and professor and became famous overnight after his photography was printed as photogravures. Two-sided means, you have 1 piece of heavy weight vintage (about 85 years old) paper with images printed on both sides. Hope this helps. And Merry Christmas! :-)"

  • "I am confused about exactly what these are. I see page numbers at the bottom of both "prints". Are they pages from a book? Or are they photographs printed on photographic paper? They are described as two-sided photogravure. Photogravure is really an etching. What is meant by two-sided?"

  • "Frances S.: Hi Frances, no these Photoengravings are unframed."

    Dec. 1, 2017, 11:09 a.m.

  • "Are these prints already framed?"
