The Three Little Frogs was published in 1924 by Volland Books. Written by John Mee and illustrated by the amazing John Rae, this particular copy is a thirteenth edition. A part of the Volland Sunny Books series, this 6 x 7.5 inch book is unpaginated, but the story is approximately 32 pages long.
Any book illustrated by John Rae is always beautiful, and the colors and degree of detail are exceptional. This book includes many scenes from the foreign lands that the little frogs visit in their travels, and even the back page advertising other Volland titles has a darling illustration of a frog playing a banjo.
This is a rare Volland title and this copy is in exceptional condition.
The hardboard cover is clean and bright, with just a small amount of bumping at the tips and some rubbing at the top and bottom of the spine. There are no inscriptions or markings on the interior of the book and the binding is in very sound and tight condition. There is a very slight amount of age related tanning to the pages.
