  • "Mimmo R.: I haven't found a cheaper way to ship them. FedEx Ground in those big boxes would be over $400. I am leery of disassembling them and fitting them into a single smaller box because at their age, they might not come apart or go back together efficiently. Wish I could do better on shipping these across country, but I haven't found a way."

  • "Mimmo R.: Yes they are smooth and well balanced. We can put them into two 30 x 30 x 40" chair boxes. You can check with UPS. I'll check the FedEx Ground rate tomorrow in my office. Let's see if we can do better than white glove."

  • "Hello, Please let me know if the swivel action is smooth and balanced and if you can use my UPS acct. for shipment snce your shipping cost is quite high. Thank you, Domenico Rosati-Seattle"

  • "Hi Eli: I did check the feasibility of shipping these in our 30x30x40 chair box, but Chairish shipping notes that is too big for UPS which handles their package shipping. So white glove is the method. "

  • "Hi Eli! To find out the exact shipping cost, just click "Buy Me Now," then "Check out." All you need is the shipping address zip code. You're not committing to buy and can always remove an item from your cart after you check the shipping cost. Feel free to contact with shipping questions!"

  • "Walnut & West: any feedback about shipping price?"

  • "To Eli - I just added photos of the bottom to this listing."

  • "Eli part 2. Last note on the seats - They are not bad, but I do not know how well they will clean up.I have pictures of the labels, bases, wheels - I will send those to customer service at Chairish and they can send them on. The bases are so solidly attached, I hesitate to remove them, but could if you prefer. We now have chair boxes - I'll send dimensions to chairish customer service and they can quote adjusted shipping (All shipping is handled through Chairish - part of how they earn their 20%)"

  • "Eli W.: The wheels are fine - I checked all. The bases are securely mounted No wiggle They do not smell of smoke. They have the logo stamped on the bottom (In one case it is under a paper label but you can feel it and see the edge. There are two HM paper labels on each one. One is stamped May 1970, the other March 1971. They have stamped numbers - early one says 3607, the other says 1508. Biggest flaw on these chairs is that fabric seats need cleaning. Fabric and vinyl are sound - no tears. More"

  • "Hi, I am interested in these chairs - but want to ask a few questions about condition. 1. what is the condition of the wheels? Do they wobble? 2. are the chair seats mounted securely to the bases? Any wobble or wiggle there? 3. Do they smell of smoke in any way? 4. What is the estimated shipping from you to 87505? This is greatly impacted by whether the bases are removed before shipping or not. 5. Is there a herman miller logo stamped on the bottom of the chair near the base? Any #'s or labels? "
