This tiered meal box is made … Read more Vintage, early 20th century, Japanese Jubako Bento Box with 4 Layers, lid and stand. This tiered meal box is made of wood with black joboji urushi lacquer and hand painted silver and apricot colored swirled and dotted designs around the sides of each bento box and on the lid. The entire Jubako, when fully assembled, measures 9 3/4" high and 8" square. Each of the four bento box layers measure 2" high and 7 1/8" square. Originally, these were used for holiday celebrations, but can also be used for storage or as a decorative object. See less
