In the early 20th century, the remote skiing resort of Zakopane - a hamlet in the foothills of the Tatra mountains - became a fashionable hangout for artists and intellectuals. This elite mix of people was instrumental in crafting a modern Polish identity in both architecture and interior design. Known as "Zakopane Style", it used traditional artistic craftsmanship, combining folk with modernism, geometric forms and practical minimalism.
The chairs are made in solid elm, with angled seats and carved geometric decoration. They have their original finish, which has been waxed. There are some signs of use to the finish as expected. They are very sturdy, with no loose joints. They have thin leather pads to the feet, two are worn off. Part of a paper label is present to one chair.
The chairs have a regular seat height with a low back, giving them a small proportion feel. less

- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
