Attributed to Gaetano Sciolari, circa 1960. Gold plated metal and opaline glass. 26cm x 20cm x 20cm x (10.2 x 7.8 x 7.8 x inches).
Glamorous and futuristic, these beautiful lamps feel like they were designed for a mid century Sci Fi movie. Extremely bold in form and finish, they have a real feeling of heft, solidity and substance.
Not just an exercise in great aesthetics, they are a masterclass in functional design as well. The opaline glass giving the most wonderful diffuse, warm, even light. These will certainly look amazing anywhere, but we feel they are the perfect bedside lamps.
Condition
Newly rewired to modern UK standards with Ivory braided cable and a new inline switch. Overall excellent condition with the normal age related wear to the gold plate (overall spotting/tarnishing which gives them a wonderful patina similar to a crackle glaze finish on a ceramic). Please see images. Opaline glass is in perfect condition. The top caps are lined in white enamel to the interior, and have no loss of enamel. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution,
UK Plug (up to 250V).The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
