Extremely rare and incredibly wonderful Original Ben Shahn exhibition lithograph, Boy Upside Down on Tricycle, 1968, Kennedy Studios.
The artwork has been professionally dry-mounted on acid-free foam core and is ready to frame. The artwork has never been hung or exposed to sunlight. Archivally stored. Excellent.
Shahn’s large, signed, in plate, illustration of a Boy Upside Down on a Tricycle, is absolutely a whimsical and joyful work that reminds me of those days of childlike wonder and imagination.
Shahn’s body of work covers a huge gamut of subjects and mediums, but his simple, humorous, minimalist drawings remain my favorite.
This original 1968 lithograph was commissioned by the Kennedy Galleries (Prescott 197)
The edition was limited to 500, which is why it is both rarely offered on the marketplace and in such good condition.
As an avid fan of the myriad of Ben Shaun's Illustrations, paintings and photographs, this piece one of my absolute favorites.
This lithograph has never been hung, exposed to sunlight, and has been stored flat. It came directly from the Kennedy Gallery.
I, myself own one and it is a joyful presence in my home.
Printed on Radar Vellum Bristol Paper and signed, in plate.

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
