Svend Nielsen (1908–1993) was a Danish painter and sculptor closely associated with Bornholm, where he lived and worked until his death. He was active at Søholm Keramik and also taught at a local school of arts and crafts. His paintings often move between figuration and freer colour exploration, shaped by Nordic light as well as impressions gathered through travels in Italy, Sweden, Norway, Spain and Austria.
