Bookcase with metal uprights, four adjustable teak shelves, and a cabinet with sliding doors. Designed by Nils (Nisse) Strinning, String series, 1950s-1960s.
Wall-mounted bookcase from the "String" series, model BFB-hyllan (also known as the "Ladder Shelf"), designed by Nils (Nisse) Strinning in the 1950s-1960s. The system consists of two metal uprights holding six teak-veneered shelves, as well as a lower cabinet with sliding doors. Originally designed in 1949 by Nils and Kajsa Strinning, this configuration represents one of the most recognizable examples of the String system, appreciated for its lightweight structure and ability to organize space functionally.
Good condition. Shows signs of age, including wear on the corners of the cabinet and slight discoloration on the sliding doors. Please carefully examine the photographs. This piece has an attribution mark,
