Postmodern folding bistro chair designed by denis balland for fermob, france, 1985.
the chair features a lacquered steel frame combined with coloured wooden slats forming the seat and backrest. The geometric composition of primary colours together with the slender folding structure reflects the playful postmodern design language of the 1980s.
originally conceived as a compact chair for cafés and terraces, the folding construction allows the chair to be stored easily while maintaining a strong graphic expression typical of late twentieth-century european furniture.
available individually or as a set of up to four chairs.
suitable as bistro chair, garden chair or as a decorative postmodern accent piece in both indoor and outdoor settings.
