RARE set of eight Gorham sterling silver souvenir spoons from the Saint Juliana Mines in Mexico.
Pattern depicts a cactus with miner's pick and spade. Early Gorham mark and stamped Sta. Juliana.
This pattern was photographed and written about in the Chris McGlothlin Gorham Spoons Sterling Souvenirs from a Bygone Era. 2017.
Monogrammed CSD most likely for Caroline Springstead Deming. Also engraved July 17 18-78 91.
These have remained in the family, and this is the first time being offered in the market. These spoons were only made for company insiders and were not sold as souvenir spoons to the public.
